Blancpain GT Series in Zandvoort – a triumph for Hugo

Last Saturday in Zandvoort (Netherlands), Hugo de Sadeleer signed his best performance yet in the Blancpain GT World Challenge Europe. With his partner, Aaro Vainio, Hugo snatched a first victory in his category, the Silver Cup, and finished in sixth place overall

After the race, Hugo declared :

We are so happy to be able to progress with every race, shared the pilot. Once again, the team did such a good work and gave us a performant car this week-end. Everybody deserves that victory.”

Riding the Aston Martin Vantage V8 GT3 n°62, the duo showed a true iron will. During the second race, Hugo and Aaro caught up five places while beginning on the 13th position on the starting grid. Overall, the two pilots gained 33 points: a guaranteed second place in the competition.

Florian Kamelger, Team Principal of R-Motorsport, shared:

It’s nice to see our team improve race by race in the Blancpain GT World Challenge Europe. I’m really proud of Hugo and Aaro who gave R-Motorsport their first victory in this category. This encouraging result is a great motivation for our team which is now focusing on the upcoming 24 Hours of Spa.

Next step for Hugo and his partner Aaro Vainio: Belgium next July 25, 26, 27 and 28 for the 24 Hours of Spa. It will be the seventh round of the Blancpain GT World Challenge.
